Alexandra "Alex" was born in Bogota, Colombia and lived in several places in South America before coming to the U.S. She competed in multiple sports growing up but after moving to the States, she focused on Equestrian Show Jumping. Alex is known for her grip strength and proficiency on grip endurance obstacles. Alex balances her life as a mom to 10yr-old son, Jayden, and OCR with her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist and OCR coach.
What was your first obstacle race and why did you do it?
Tough Mudder Houston. I wanted a change from trail running.
What drives you to compete?
I always want to grow and set new goals for myself.
If you could run a World Championship obstacle race anywhere in the world, where would it be?
What interesting fact do most fans of OCR not know about you?
I was born in Columbia and grew up all over South America.
Who is one of the OCR athletes you admire most and why?
Lindsay Webster. She's always smiling and seems to really enjoy the sport.
If you could design one workout that covers the most important skill areas in OCR, what would it look like?
Lots of running and grip work.
