What was your first obstacle race and why did you do it?
My first obstacle course race was the Boise Sprint in June of 2017. I had just recently stepped away from Track after an injury and was looking for something fun to compete in. I joined up with a team to train and compete with for a few weeks prior to the race and I ended up winning the Open competition that day. After the race I caught the fever and decided to see just how competitive I could be. Enter Elite status :)

What drives you to compete?

This is a loaded question...All of it! The people, the venues, the camaraderie, to push physical and emotional limits, to feel the pure yet insatiable reward of complete and utter exhaustion, the emotional reprieve and the unrelenting desire to do and be better!

If you could run an obstacle race anywhere in the world, where would it be?

The Swiss Alps - BEAUTIFUL!

What interesting fact do most fans of OCR not know about you?

I am a registered professional Jet Ski Racer (stand up of course) but, I don't actually compete, just ride.

Who is one of the OCR athletes you admire most and why?

Amelia Boone. I respect her raw unwavering authenticity. And I too share an obsession with sleeveless hoodies.

If you hadn't found OCR, in what sport(s) would you be competing?

Trail racing...which I still dabble in.

What are your goals with OCR?

I finally found my niche. Olympics are on the radar right?! :)
